Seven Hills Tafe Demolition Stage 2

Location: 110 Darcy Road, Seven Hills, Queensland
Client: Heran Building Group
Contract Value: $540k

The somewhat controversial Seven Hills Tafe Development has been closely monitored by the press and Workplace Health and Safety Queensland. As a result the developer, Heran Building Group, were seeking an organisation with an excellent track record on hazardous substance removal, asbestos remediation and mechanical demolition of high structures, thus contracting Advanced Deconstruction. Our contract works were;

  • The removal of Asbestos sheeting and contamination found throughout the complex.
  • The safe removal of the large quantities of SMF insulation used in the facility.
  • Manually remove non-recyclables such as carpet, vinyls, foam and rubber based finishes to maximise recycling weights.
  • The complete demolition and removal of six multipurpose tertiary education buildings with varying height of 7 to 15m. Including all associated annexes, footpaths, roadways, shelters and nominated flora leaving the 15,914m2 demolition zone ready for civil earthworks. A task completed on time and in budget buy managing multiple pieces of heavy equipment, namely two 55t excavators.

Delivered without incident or complaint, this large scale demolition conduced in the middle of a residential suburb is testament to the planning and safety practices of Advanced Deconstruction.
